I homeschooled my two children for thirteen years. Along that journey, other parents began sharing their children with me—to talk about books and words—what a gift! My education includes a BA in linguistics and music (UC Berkeley) and a Masters in Music (New England Conservatory). For many years, I have coached opera singers on their Italian, French, and German diction. I have studied ten languages, edited a Greek grammar textbook, taught Spanish to young children, tutored ESL learners, written a translation of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and facilitated supertitle translations for numerous opera productions. My writing is published monthly in Mission Frontiers magazine. To remind myself of the important things in life, I listen to the teaching of the Word at NorthCreek Church. In dreamland, I command center stage as a tap-dancer.
